I haven't recorded in here for a long time. That's bad. Because it' not that I haven't had anything to say, because trust me, I've been a think-tank like never before. It's just that I haven't had the time. Seriously--haven't even been on People or the fun-looking fashion blogs.
One revelation I've had recently: Obama's mother was an anthropologist--which explains his own views. I honestly do believe that Obama is well-intentioned in what he does. At the White House Correspondents' Dinner, he explicitly said he didn't like the fact that he was obligated to be there because Bush had made it a routine. He believes in separation between the White House and the press corps--though he did get some flak for inviting the media elites on his campaign trail... But anyways, I believe that as long as what is reported is truthful, even if it was injurious to his political career, Obama is righteous enough to support it. That is what he emanates, for me: Righteousness and Ethics.
I would totally expand if I wasn't in a crunch for time to do an essay... This is not a naive conclusion on my part. I've thought it over, and it's always stumped me why people are so in love with Obama. I honestly believe he sees the system that has wreaked havoc in Washington, and fully intends on changing it for the better. It was great that so many individual citizens made contributions to his campaign, rather than a few large donors. I really feel that his intention is to assuage intercultural conflict among people and that he is trying to restore Washington to The People. His intentions are commendable and I am proud of my president.
